installation shots and detail
In The Offing is an installation of 6000 individually cast and hand- made porcelain tiles, capturing the miniature landscape of holes and network of tunnels made by wood-worm in the eaten floorboards of my house. The piece is about the passing of time, of unseen labour and the tenuous line we tread between co-existing and colliding with other ecologies.
‘My work exploring miniature landscapes made by woodworm tries to make sense of the contradiction between their tiny networks of holes and tunnels and the vast, almost ineffable concept of time.’
